Where's Niccolo Machiavelli when you NEED him?

As proven by Bush's current Iraq initiative, Niccolo Machiavelli explained, centuries ago, people like George W, Bush. For him, they fell into "Group Three."

"There are three classes of intellects: one which comprehends by itself; another which appreciates what others comprehend; and a third which neither comprehends by itself nor by the showing of others; the first is the most excellent, the second is good, and the third is useless." - Niccolo Machiavelli

And remember, he risks not only HIS legacy, but the very future of our entire nation with his ignorance.

He also might want to try a few more Machiavelli quotes (Karl Rove: If you're reading this, I know you keep a copy of "The Prince" in your desk, get the Commander in Chief of Denial to READ it):

"He who blinded by ambition, raises himself to a position whence he cannot mount higher, must thereafter fall with the greatest loss."

"He who has not first laid his foundations may be able with great ability to lay them afterwards, but they will be laid with trouble to the architect and danger to the building."

"The best fortress which a prince can possess is the affection of his people; for even if he has fortresses, and is hated by his people, the fortresses will not save him; for when a people have once risen in arms against their prince, there will be no lack of strangers who will aid them."

"One should never risk one's whole fortune unless supported by one's entire forces."
